The Secret Life of Butterflies
Butterflies are one of the most beautiful creatures in nature, but there is much more to them than their colourful wings. Their life begins as a tiny egg laid on a leaf. After a few days, a small caterpillar comes out. It spends most of its time eating leaves and growing. Then it forms a chrysalis, where an amazing change takes place. After some time, a beautiful butterfly comes out with delicate wings. Butterflies use their long, tube-like tongue called a proboscis to drink nectar from flowers. While visiting flowers, they also help plants by carrying pollen from one flower to another.

RP: Can you introduce yourself?
NTK: My name is Nurani Tak. I have completed my Master's in Fine Arts from the University of Jaipur. I am also an alumna of this school, so it feels special to be back here. As a former student, I have a good understanding of the school's values and environment.
RP: What activities do you use to develop students' creativity?
NTK: I believe every child is creative in their own way, so I first observe each student's interests and skills. I encourage them through activities like object drawing, creative sketching, colour exploration, and learning the elements and principles of art. These activities help students express their imagination while improving their artistic skills.
RP: How do you make your art class fun and engaging?
NTK: I make my classes interactive and enjoyable by giving students interesting object-drawing activities and creative projects that they can relate to. After completing their work, I encourage them to share their artwork with their classmates. This creates a positive learning environment where students appreciate different ideas.
RP: What is your favourite art form and why?
NTK: My favourite art form is abstract art because it allows complete freedom of expression and imagination. I enjoy working with acrylic and watercolours as they are versatile media that offer a range of textures, effects, and techniques. They help me express emotions and creativity in unique ways.
RP: What do you enjoy most about your profession, and who has been your biggest inspiration?
NTK: The most rewarding part of being an art teacher is understanding each student's creative thinking and helping them develop their talent.
My biggest inspiration has been my school teachers, Bharti Ma'am and Prerna Ma'am. I have always admired their dedication, kindness, and the way they cared for every student like a mother while maintaining the qualities of excellent teachers. Their guidance and passion for teaching inspired me to choose this profession.
